Club Weekend 2024

The 2024 Club Race on Skyline saw enthusiastic competition for the fastest skier. Christopher Berechree, second for many years, had an air of confidence, Pete Vandezee was seen waxing his skis not more than 30 minutes before the race and Michael Benson, with a sign of arrogance, arrived nonchalantly just minutes before the race. Kate Adams and Shai Ashkanasy looked relaxed and self-assured as the race began.

The Club Dinner was an American theme of corn chowder, pulled pork in brioche rolls with coleslaw, and chocolate brownies, American cheesecake and American tray bake sponge for dessert.

Congratulations to Club Champion, Kevin Neville; Michael Benson, Fastest Male and Shai Ashkanasy, Fastest Female.

Special mention to Margaret Joels for her liberating outfit which won her the fancy dress competition. A close second was a slightly deflated Alan ‘Alien’ Jones.
